In this video I go over the difference in profits, power cost, and long term impacts of mining with inefficient cards versus some very efficient cards. There are very few circumstances in which efficiency does not matter, even if your power is free, you will eventually hit the limit of what you can use and then maxing out hashrate or profits comes down to efficiency.
