"THREADS" | MOVIE REVIEW
Hello, comrades. This video is slightly different from some of my usual stuff, and the reason for this is because I have reviewed a movie that I have recently seen that I want to share with you all, and this movie is called "Threads".
The movie, "Threads" came out in 1984, it is set in Sheffield, which is located in the North of England in Britain. There is a very disturbing twist to this movie, as it is set during the Cold War, when there were tensions between the Western imperialist countries and the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact/Eastern Bloc countries. In the movie, the United States tries to fund a coup in Iran to get rid of the Iranian government and replace it with a US Puppet government in order to control the country's resources and markets. However, the Soviet Union sticks up for Iran and helps them defend themselves against the US imperialists. But, US and Soviet troops then meet each other in direct conflict against each other and it all escalates into a nuclear holocaust.
My dad was only 14 years old when this movie came out, and he was actually made to watch it at school, because it was part of the national curriculum at the time and it scared the shit out of him, in fact, it still haunts him to this day.
Back in May, my dad actually recommend me to watch this movie, so one day when I was in college, I did. It traumatized me.
