Adobe O'Hare had a tough night battling clostridium; I was so afraid he would not make it. A day of diarrhea turned into a night where he was unable to get comfortable and was passing blood. Adobe was under a vet's care during this time; any guinea pig with GI issues should be seen by an exotic veterinarian immediately. I only posted this painful video because at the time I was searching the Internet for explanation or information about his body movements. (Adobe is doing much better today.)

Please remember that guinea pigs can deteriorate rapidly and any guinea pig with diarrhea and other GI issues should see an exotic veterinarian as soon as possible.

Update: Adobe did recover. Three weeks later he was moving around better - see:    • Adobe's Recovery - Part I   Four and a half months later he had gained roughly 300 grams since this ordeal - see:    • Adobe's Recovery - Part II   More recently, Adobe has a new cage and he's been "popcorning" - see:    • Adobe O'Hair "Popcorning"   We are so proud of this brave little boy!

Adobe was just over 6 months old when this video was taken.

Today - 2 years later - he's very happy, healthy, and sharing a large cage with two female guinea pigs. (Adobe is neutered.)
