How to do a Quick Easy Flight & FMC Setup with the Headwind Airbus A330. Microsoft Flight Simulator
This simple easy tutorial starts on the runway all powered up and ready for takeoff. Follow these easy steps for an Airport Circuit with a large Airliner from takeoff to ILS landing, holding the center line, taxing and finding the correct docking gate.
Flight Plan:
Plan your route for the flight around the airport. Determine the departure and arrival points, as well as any landmarks or reference points you'll be using as well as setting up the flight management computer.
Takeoff:
Maintaining the centerline of the runway as the aircraft accelerates. Applying recommended takeoff speeds and lift off.
Maintain Altitude:
Follow the designated altitude for the area around the airport. Typically, this involves flying in a rectangular pattern around the airport at a specified altitude.
Follow Landing Procedures:
Follow the standard procedures for entering the traffic pattern and preparing for landing. Approach: Align the aircraft with the runway, maintaining a stabilized approach.
Flare and Touchdown: Reducing power gradually as you approach the runway threshold. Just before touchdown, gently flare the nose up to slow the descent rate. Aim to touch down smoothly on the main wheels.
Taxi to Parking:
After landing, follow taxiway signs to return to your parking spot or designated area.
Post-flight Checks:
Shut down the engine(s) and conduct a post-flight inspection to ensure the aircraft is secure.
