TYPE
A new warship hull widely assumed to be the Type 054B frigate or sometimes Type 057 for the Peoples Liberation Army Navy has commenced final assembly at Hudong Shipyard in Shanghai.
For the Chinese Navy's operational capability, the warship provides anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare capability. Hudong is one of the principal shipyards supplying warships to the Type 054B warship.
