This is what happened when using Windows 8 automatic repair
So. This happened when using the automatic repair from Windows 8 recovery. I was simply trying to repair the master boot record since my computer decided to show the "no operating system found" message at boot. I am currently trying the latest Windows 10 build. Now it seems a fresh reinstall is in order. Thanks Microsoft.
