Babylonstoren Minute – 5 August 2022
We're out and about in the winter sun, pruning and preparing the garden for the upcoming season. New seedlings are going into the ground in the Moestuin as Oom Anton and his team cut back the dead branches in our stone fruit blocks to ensure a wholesome summer harvest.
The early plums and nectarines are already aflush in pink and white blossoms. They'll be the first to bear fruits as soon as the warmer weather hits.🌸
We have our hands full with blood oranges! The dappled red Ippolito variety has already been picked, and farmer Ian and his team are harvesting Taroccos. Look out for these sunset-hued beauties in our restaurants, the farm shop and online.
