A soccer ball sliced into View-Master reels on a chrome 1940 Hobart ‘Streamliner’ deli slicer.

I got the idea for this short when I saw this exact slicer on a pedestal in The Museum of Modern Art (in an exhibit on Industrial Design). I instantly began imagining what I might slice in it.

So I bought one for myself and restored it. The slicing sounds used in the film are those produced by this exact machine.
