I wanted to make this video to encourage you all, as a response video to Peter McKinnon's wonderful video "I was a HORRIBLE PHOTOGRAPHER". I think Peter's video did a great job at showing what hard work, and dedication can do to improve your skills as a photographer.
Yet, I do believe there is another half of the conversation. Every photographer has the ability at any given moment to create a terrible, horrible photo. No matter if your 10 years in, or 50 years in, the ability is still there.
I wanted to make this video, simply to share some recent shots I've made, that were absolutely horrendous. These are shots that would never have seen the light of day, but I think it is important for anyone who finds my work inspiring or interesting, to know that I am more than capable of creating not just one bad photo, but an entire slew of them in any given batch of photos.
Peters video :: • I was a HORRIBLE PHOTOGRAPHER
Let me know in the comments below, do you find this kind of vulnerability useful in your own creative struggles? Have you made shots recently, that you werent too thrilled with? How did that make you feel? I would love to hear about it, and like I said in the video, celebrate with you in the fact that we are in this together.
