Lucinha Turnbull | In the IC studio
One of the pioneers of the electric guitar, Lucinha Turnbull brings to "No Estúdio IC" the importance of the bonds that are built throughout life. A collaborator of some of Brazil's greatest musicians, she participated in the recording of the albums "Refavela" (1977), by Gilberto Gil, and "Refestança" (1977), by Gil and Rita Lee. With the latter, Lucinha formed the duo Cilibrinas do Éden and led the band Tutti Frutti. In 1980, she released her first solo album, "Aroma."
In addition to reminiscing about periods of her life, such as opening for the band Mutantes at Teatro Oficina in 1970, the singer presents two original songs, "Vem também" (Come Also) and "Me Acalma" (Calm Me Down).
"No Estúdio IC" is a series that brings together some of Brazil's greatest musicians to perform two songs and conduct an intimate conversation about them, reliving memories, reflections, and experiences.
