This video was created in March of 2001, a short 6 months before one of the most historic events of our generation. This was one of the last times you could do the Hard Hat Tour where you traveled inside the Dam itself and see many of the Art Deco and 1930's craftsmanship. We had a fantastic tour guide.
On a technical note, I suspect you can already understand that in 2001 there was no HD video, this video was created in Standard Definition interlaced footage. I have converted it to 4k video and made every effort to restore as much detail as possible. As a second note, this is a working hydroelectric dam, there is significant noise onsite. I have done my best to restore the audio to where you can hear the presenter, but water rushing through the dam persists. The presenter can be heard clearly, but the background noise is sometimes loud also. I have smoothed the audio so there are no sharp changes in volume.
