This is a waterproof mattress bag to protect your mattress from damage, dust, dirt and more. It's not cheap to replace a mattress so don't even risk storing a mattress in your garage or moving it without one of these. Always use a mattress bag to move your mattress.
6 mil thickness with an envelope style end and a zipper at the top (you can zip from both ends). NEVER put your bare mattress in a truck, it'll get dirty, can get wet if it rains. It's a lot easier to get one of these. The problem is most of them are so thin and they tear easily. So does this one?
Note: it doesn't have handles and I think this is a good idea because that's where it would tear. To get handles you need to go with a heavier duty material like a bag made of tarp material.
Mattress bag vs mattress protector
This is not a mattress protector that you leave on and sleep on. They sell those but they're made of quieter cloth and usually it fits like a fitted sheet on the sites instead of putting the whole mattress inside it.
