How to Read Karting Data - Speed Trace
Data is the ability to analyse in real terms what is happening on the racetrack.
We are once again using the MyChron Race Studio Software to now overlay two separate laps to see where one is faster than the other by analysing the speed trace.
This is often an area parents can get flustered by, as it looks confusing with lines going in all directions, so we wanted to give drivers a basic rundown on what to look for, and how to understand what these lines (measurements) show.
The lines (speed measurement) illustrate a kart accelerating & braking, and by analysing we can distinguish when a kart is entering too quickly or lifting for too long.
