This is an animated map of the bombing missions from the Eighth Air Force out of England, depicted by the red explosions. The yellow explosions are missions flown by the Ninth and Fifteenth Air Forces in the Mediterranean Theater. We pick up the animation in the spring of 1943, until the end of the war on May 8th, 1945.
