The right embouchure is essential for relaxed and fulfilling saxophone playing.
If you have problems with your embouchure, a whole host of other difficulties arise that you then have to address, such as a thin tone, strenuous playing, and therefore less time to practice, and above all, LESS FUN, which is the very last thing you want! So take the time to check your embouchure.
Try my tips until you get a feel for what works and what doesn't. Above all, try to listen carefully to yourself, because that's where you'll learn the most. Once you feel like you've found a position that feels good and sounds good to your ears without having to exert yourself too much physically, then you're almost certainly on the right track. You can trust your body's instincts, but you have to take the time to really explore it :-)
