DATV Experimenter's Night - Sisters are doing it for themselves
00:02:50 - Sisters Akousmatica - Julia and Pip are at Wave Farm at Acra which is between the Hudson Valley and Catskills Mountain about a 1.5 hours out of New York.

The Sisters were successful in getting a residency at Wave Farm for 10 days and traveled to America.
Wave Farm has a community radio station on the farm - WGXC 90.7MHz FM.
00:07:50 - Technicians are available to assist artists and Pip described the equipment available to use.
00:10:50 - Julia showed our audience around the residence with great equipment available that the Sisters have been using to listen to the radio spectrum.
00:14:00 - Pip showed the HackRF SDR they have been using and then Julia showed the installation by Jeff Thomson that plays every radio station and toured their accommodation.
00:18:20 - Pip & Julia described how the Sister got to America through San Francisco, Brooklyn in New York and through to Wave Farm. The Sister received an Art Tasmania Bridge to cover the travel fees to get them to Wave Farm.
00:22:10 - The Sisters will be on WGXC with Gregory Whitehead on Saturday which is located above their accommodation. The transmitting footprint is large for WGXC. The Sisters will be playing live music and effects at the Open Day at Wave Farm. It is also an indigenous celebration day.
00:25:00 - Julia and Pip gave some historical context to the radio station and Wave Farm as a hub for the artistic community in the area. Julia went through the many people involved in the Farm and Transmission Arts.
00:28:40 - The Sisters will be finishing the book they are putting together along with many recordings they have been making. They have been using a NanoVNA to listen for many organic items. They heard a train PA signal from somewhere whilst they were listening - they used a device called a EtherSonar. Some stories and recordings are coming back to Tasmania!
00:33:00 - The Sisters got their callsigns in morse code tattooed on their arms - VK7SEA and VK7HAG.

New Jersey Institute of Technology's Centre for Solar-Terrestrial Research used the Owens Valley Radio Observatory Long Wavelength Array were able to map the Eclipse across 20-88MHz.
