Newton Cannito is a renowned Brazilian filmmaker, screenwriter, and writer. He has received major awards in the field, such as the APCA, ABRA, Contigo, and Emmy awards. He holds a doctorate in Cinema and TV from the University of São Paulo (USP) on Television in the Digital Age (published by Summus), and was president of ABRA (Brazilian Association of Screenwriters).
His career is marked by numerous screenplay creations for the audiovisual landscape. His most recent work is the biopic of Silvio Santos, the film *O Sequestro*, starring Rodrigo Faro. Among his notable works are *Cidade dos Homens*, released on GloboPlay, *Unidade Básica*, broadcast on Globoplay and Universal, and *9mm*, with seasons on Fox and Netflix.
His experience with life stories led Cannito to develop the method and course "Sua Vida é um Filme" (Your Life is a Film), available on Hotmart. In addition, the filmmaker offers guidance and mentoring in "Você protagonista" (You as the Protagonist), helping professionals create their Personal Brand. Cannito also coordinates an Audiovisual School that serves around 1,200 students in vulnerable situations in the ABC region, where he was born.
