VECTOR WX-8 in detail (slideshow)
The WX-8, as per it's constructor, is a hyper-performance vehicle (HPV), and represents a" calculated departure from the previous W8 supercar, while still maintaining the Vector character and family identity". Vector fans (myself among them) have seen the front design to be some how not that inspiring with these Supra headlines (if only they were taken off in the final production version!)- but over all,the car is generally dynamic & efficient in design. Surface treatment is good, the glass house looks dynamic & air efficient,& I for myself feel that the car could record a drag factor between high 0.20s & low 0.30s if tested, which if happens, would be great for a widely tyred & bodied sports car. Performance wise, just achieving 75% of the claimed performance would easily put the WX-8 among the best of supercars. Hopes are high for Vector to finish it's work on the car & present the Auto media with a running prototype as a first step to seeing the first Vector for the 21st century- we wish them luck.
