"Better Call Saul" is a prequel to the legendary series "Breaking Bad" from Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. Initially, the man who would become Saul Goodman is Jim McGill, a small-time lawyer looking for his place in the world. Working alongside Jimmy, and often against him, is Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), one of the key characters introduced in "Breaking Bad."
The series chronicles Jimmy McGill's transformation into Saul Goodman through Gene Takovic and the Salamanca family's confrontation with Gustavo Fring, and is one of Netflix's best series.
