Nature Walk & School Picnic
In honor of the 69th Birth Anniversary of our beloved 4th King, staff and students of Zhemgang PS organized a nature walk along the historic Trong-Gonpung trail. This event aimed to celebrate His Majesty’s love for nature and the environment, fostering a deeper appreciation for our surroundings and promoting a spirit of unity within the school community.
The journey commenced at 10:30 am with participants assembling at the school before heading to the starting point in Trong. Walking along the serene trail, students and staff enjoyed the natural beauty of the landscape, encountering diverse flora and fauna native to the region. This walk served as an educational experience, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and Bhutan's commitment to sustainable development—a vision championed by our beloved 4th King.
Following the walk, the school community gathered for a picnic. It provided a wonderful opportunity for relaxation and bonding, with students and teachers and reflecting on the significance of the day. This commemorative picnic allowed participants to connect and enjoy a day outdoors, celebrating the legacy of the 4th King in an enriching and memorable way.
The event concluded with heartfelt wishes for His Majesty’s continued health and happiness. The successful conduct of the nature walk and picnic not only honored the 4th King’s birth anniversary but also instilled values of unity, respect for nature, and gratitude within our school community.
