Jay Hulme - Community In Common
In April 2021 award winning poet Jay Hulme was invited to write a poem for 20-21 Visual Arts Centre to mark our 20th anniversary. Jay visited and, as he loves to do, explored the Grade 2 listed former church building that forms part of our gallery, using what he found as inspiration for his words.
Jay's poem was featured in our Luke Jerram art trail project Of Earth and Sky, which saw fragments of poetry written large across the Scunthorpe landscape. Here, he performs it in full, in the building which inspired the words.
