Other Side | Short Film
A young woman reminisces about the past, only to learn its haunting truth.
It has been many years since I have written and filmed my own projects because of the fear of critique. I decided to break that cycle and write anything to bring the joy back to where it belongs in creating story. My focus is translating the page onto the screen.
This is a short film project was filmed, written, directed, and edited by myself. This project was an exercise in writing quick using Write The Story a book of elements and a one-sentence writer's prompt, which I then molded into a story. It was also an exercise in crafting basic filmmaking elements like adding basic foley for box movement ect., color grading, camera angles, ect. This was shot in one hour on a DSLR with me and my supportive boyfriend appearing in this, edited on Final Cut Pro X.
