To connect YouTube to OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), follow these steps:
1. **Install OBS**: Download and install OBS Studio from the official website if you haven't already.
2. **Set Up Your Scene**: Open OBS and set up your scene by adding sources like video capture devices, images, or window captures.
3. **Configure YouTube Streaming**:
Go to YouTube and sign in to your account.
Click on the camera icon with a "+" sign (usually found at the top right) and select "Go Live."
In the YouTube Studio, click on "Stream" in the left menu to access your streaming settings.
Copy the "Stream Key" provided under the "Stream Settings" tab.
4. **Configure OBS for Streaming**:
Open OBS and go to "Settings" by clicking on the "Settings" button in the lower right corner.
Select the "Stream" tab on the left.
For "Service," choose "YouTube / YouTube Gaming."
Paste the "Stream Key" you copied from YouTube into the "Stream Key" field in OBS.
Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the settings.
5. **Start Streaming**:
Return to OBS and click the "Start Streaming" button in the lower right corner.
Your stream should now be live on YouTube. You can monitor the stream's status and interact with viewers through YouTube Studio.
