Sketch Picture: Design Surfboard | SOLIDWORKS Tutorial 2022 | Sketch Picture | Surface Modeling
Finally I've made this Solidworks Tutorial that I was supposed to make last month. In this Solidworks tutorial you'll learn how to design objects based on multiple pictures from different angle. This skill can help you to copy products you see in the internet and of course reverse engineering services for your clients if you don't hace 3D Scanner. I have to confess that I've never ride a surfboard and never saw one from close distance that's why I couldn't get the top surface the way that I wanted. but if you are familiar with the geometry of surfboards you can play around with the settings in the Lofted surface menu.
Note: This method is not accurate enough to rely on it but can help you in the cases that you have no other choice. I did some modification on the top and side surface but unfortunately I didn't record that part (To see the final version I've uploaded STEP and STL file), since this method is trial and error you have to go back and edit the surfaces until you feel satisfy with the result.
