A tribute to the beautiful badass Contessina de Bardi.
She's one of my favourite characters all time, I'm forever grateful to Annabel Scholey for this amazing performance. I would even dare to say that the first season of the Medici series could be worth watching even just for her.
The way she deals with all the frustration and unhappiness in her life, the constant rejection from her husband and the politically tense situation, transforming all this into an unstoppable force is impressive.
She's strong, she's determinate, she fights to have a place and to keep it, to show the others that she has a function in the family and is more than a breeder for the next generation.
And she's fundamental, her son, her daughter in law, her brother in law, her husband and even later her grandson seek her advice and value her opinion.
She's a complex character who deserves to be known and appreciated, so here we are.
