The boat teams have been a vital asset to Operation Lone Star since its beginning in 2021, and they successfully deter illegal immigration into Texas on a daily basis. The team members act as a highly mobile patrolling force to detect and deter illegal traffic, but also as a rescue team to safely interdict illegal immigrants who they catch trying to cross the border illegally.
