Hank After Dark is one of the most scathing criticisms of Hollywoo culture that BoJack Horseman has to offer. But I think even more impressively is that it does this through the lens of Diane, at a time in her story where she is struggling immensely to find purpose. Hank After Dark does an incredible job intertwining a complex and nuanced exploration of one of its main characters with meaningful social commentary and criticism about Hollywoo and mainstream media at large. Which, to be fair, is this show’s specialty.
