it's been a while we last saw Phil the cat from his Vacation break.... or was he just another victim to the corporatized world of today? still, it's been a while too
i am well aware that there's a recent new build of the fangame (even if it's not publicly avaible due to the creator being bullied by the Pizza tower fandom not noticing the difference between a fan project and a rip-off, and i see this as a fan project since it clearly has love and care put into it). nevertheless, i'm stuck playing on the December 2022 Demo until a new demo comes out (which might be never since Salty_Kvas's mental state has been terribly crumbled by the Pizza tower fandom (again, i blame the ones who stayed here longer than the new kids, but the latter aren't safe from this situation either)
shoutout to The inverted Iceberg for this beautiful underrated yet short-lived soundtrack too, it's sad that it got attention once the game began to die. to me, "Ballad of the Fallen Cheese" fits Phil's journey through the cheddar temple as he tries to do his job and begins a new and lonely life as an adult... which is somehow relatable, i myself will also turn 18 soon by the time i'm typing this
"It's Sandwich time!"/"Rush Hour" is also another great track, the older version might be one of the most chill yet still frenetic escape tracks i heard, and while the updated version now has a fit in with it's fellow pizza-likes ("Taco Tuesday" from Taco Tower, "It's Bo Time!" from Bo noise!: bo-ginning of the end, "Glucose getaway" from Sugary spire, and maybe "Outta my way, It's happy hour!" from Antonblast if you consider it part of the pizza family)
