When CO2 laser engraves on ACM panel, it burns through the coating layers to show the contrast image. However, CO2 laser can not engrave on bare aluminium surface due to 1)not enough energy, 2) wrong light spectrum to be able to make the contrast on the material. That why Fiber laser is used for aluminium engraving and cutting.
