Ten years ago, I first heard this song in Glasgow, Scotland. After so many years, I still remember the passion and simplicity of the Scottish people. Five years ago, I played "Auld Lang Syne" in a community concert that connected me with many senior residents of European ancestry on an unforgettable New Year’s Eve. It was also at that moment, I recognized how music connects people of different backgrounds and different ages together and inspired me to perceive different cultures and convey the beauty of the world through music.
