Cancer survivor and amputee Alyssa Liddle’s world was flipped upside
down during her treatment, which included intensive chemotherapy
and amputation. “One of the best things patients can do is let LPF
pair you with someone,” she says. “When you are facing such a serious
experience, having someone who gets it from being in a similar place is
an amazing thing.” Alyssa adds that she and her peer’s bond continues
to this day and that they are “each other’s champions and strength.”
