Bakhawan Nature Study and Eco park is a 230 hectares mangrove reforestation program managed by KASAMA and DENR. The site is located in a muddy coastal area of Kalibo where banlok (soil) residues coming from Aklan River stay in.
Today the said mangrove reforestation project is one of the most successful forest project in the Philippines and the model lowland forest project in our country home to aquatic creatures and birds.
