When the computer ticks off 6,000 miles since the last time the light was reset, it blinks a few times when you start up the vehicle and then goes off, as a reminder that it's time to change your oil. If the light is not reset, at 7500 miles it will stay solid and not go off. If you get an oil change done (or do it yourself), you can't reset the light before it comes on, so it may come on not long after having an oil change done. Not to fear. It's a 10 second fix and I show step-by-step how to do it. If you have a 1999-2004 Odyssey, check out some of my other videos for DIY repairs. I have an Odyssey "Play List" on my YouTube page here: / diyjeff
