🔧 Let's get started with the installation process on my Ubuntu 22.04 computer. Putty is commonly used to access and manage remote systems through SSH, telnet, or serial connections. While it is primarily used on Windows, we can also install and use it on Linux platforms.
📌 First, we need to add a repository named "universe" by using the command "sudo add-apt-repository universe". This step involves downloading the necessary packages to the local repository, so please be patient.
⚙️ Once the repository is added and downloaded, run the command "sudo apt update". Next, execute the Putty installation command with "sudo apt install -y putty". Allow the installation process to complete.
✅ Great! Putty is now installed on my PC. To verify the installation, I run "putty --version" in the terminal. The displayed information confirms that Putty is successfully installed on this system. To further test its functionality, I demonstrate how to access a remote server using SSH within the Putty interface.
👀 As you can see on the screen, I am successfully logged into the remote server and have gained access to the remote machine's terminal using Putty.
