Got minecraft vr to work with shaders in steamos! It actually runs pretty good too, consistant 72fps. Its got a tiny bit of latency and little bit stuttering cause of alvr but aside from that it works amazing!

ALVR Settings:
Preferred codec: h264
Foveated encoding: true
Center region width: 0.450
Center region height: 0.400
Horizontal edge ratio: 6.00
Vertical edge ratio: 8.00
Transcoding view resolution: Absolute
Width: 1000
Height: Default
Emulated headset view resolution: Absolute
Width: 1000
Height: Default
Preferred FPS: 72.0Hz

[Connection]
Stream protocol: UDP

Also make sure to turn on legacy reprojection mode in steamvr individual game video settings.

The shaders I used are Sildur's Enhanced Default v1.16 Fast, and shadows on low.

The mods I used (fabric 1.20.4):
Fabric API
FerriteCore
FirstPerson
Indium
Iris
Lithium
Mod Menu
ModernFix
Placeholder API
Sodium
Vivecraft
Vivecraft Compat

Set minecraft video settings to as low as possible aside from render distance, which I found anywhere from 2-10 works fine.
