This video will outline considerations for beef producers when collecting samples for DNA testing purposes. The use of DNA information in beef breeding programs has become increasingly widespread, with parentage verification, management of genetic conditions/qualitative traits or genomics (use of DNA information in the BREEDPLAN genetic evaluation) all common reasons that beef producers will undertake DNA testing.
