A yurt is a circular tent that is made of felt or skins on a collapsible frame. Yurts were typically used by nomads in Mongolia, Siberia, and Turkey. Yurts have been an architectural element of life in Central Asia for 3,000 years.

There are various types of Yurts, but they all have the same architectural features - the circular shape, trellis walls, and roof poles that radiate from a central roof wheel. Traditionally, yurts were covered in hides. The elements of a Yurt include the dome, rafters, lattice, floor, and floor support.
