Many people think that bottom attachment is right below natural lashes, just like top attachment is right above natural lashes. This is not quite correct.

⬆️ It is true that with the top attachment, the lash extension is attached directly above the natural lash, because the lash extension is parallel to the natural lash. Therefore, both the start and end points of the bond are directly above the natural lash.

⬇️ With the bottom attachment, however, the lash extension is not parallel to the natural lash.

🤍 Natural lashes are flatter than lash extensions, so aligning the lash extension and the natural lash could result in a gap in the bond, so the lash extension shall come out from the side of the natural lash.

💛 When we do this, the starting point of bond is under the natural lash, while the ending point is not under but on the side of the natural lash.

🧡 So the bonding section under the natural lash is actually not 2mm long, but 1.7mm, and the other 0.3mm is on the side.

💗 99% of the lash technicians do the bottom placement based on "2mm" bonding length, so it will likely result in a gap in bonding.

❤ To avoid it, keep in mind that the attachment area of bottom attachment is 1.7mm, pull the lash more forward when placing it.
