Full game longplay of Hitman: Codename 47, first game in the series to come out, on PC exclusively in November/December 2000. A sort of Action/Stealth mix kind of game. This is the Steam version of the game, with the Codename 47 widescreen fix by nemesis2000, and also using a dgVodoo wrapper, to achieve both a correct aspect ratio 16:9 and a resolution higher than 1080p.
Here played in a 2880x1620 resolution, not full 4K just so the HUD/UI can ACTUALLY be seen when looking close, the HUD doesn't scale with the nemesis' fix. Of course, highest possible details, 4x MSAA, and, the Extra High Draw Distance set at 12.00 units in nemesis' fix, standard for the fix is 6.00, while the original game has it even lower, so about a 3/4 times increase of the render distance. Every level is thus rendered COMPLETELY, at any point, from any location, with all the objects, NPCs in full view all the time. This is very costly performance wise, but I feel it's quite worth it. Take a quick peek on the second Rotterdam Harbor level, where you can actually see the ship's security casually walking on it, while being like 500m away (calculating with 1 foot = 0.25, whatever, you know what I mean). It's an insane change to the game. Jungle level chokes my rtx 2060 hard, down to like 15 fps at one time, when looking across the whole map. Every single NPC/object was looked at/visible. Incredible. A 2000 game obliterating an RTX graphic card, with no actual RT effects turned on.
SO. FINALLY. After several tries to record this game, I've finally done it, and in 4K60 and extra high detail. Played on Normal difficulty I think, judging by the number of the "retries" after death. I still was getting shit on severely, despite knowing the game pretty well. So, I have to say it. Hitman: Condename 47 is NOT a stealth game. It's AI is completely anti-stealth inclined. It's insanely inconsistent, RNG, and buggy. There are some levels where you are forced to go full Rambo mode. I used a invisibility cheat to check what's exactly triggering the AI, and it was full random. But, I still do love this game, despite it's difficulty, inconsistency and weird level design, and shitty Jungle levels. I still do. :))
