Korg Arp Odyssey vs. Korg Arp Odyssei for iPad - Patch 1
The Korg Arp Odyssey is the re-creation of a classic analog synthesizer. The Korg Arp Odyssei app is its version for the iPad. Can they sound similar? I did 3 quick tests for a comparison.
In this first video, a lead patch with filter and pitch modulation. Odyssey and Odyssei on the same mixer, using the same reverb (Lexicon MPX1).

Some notes:
The position of the sliders is not identical in both. To sound similar, small adjustments need to be made. The result of the video is the best I got using my ears :)
This video does not seek to discuss analog vs. digital. The experience of using them is completely different, which leads to very different sound and creative results. Here we have just a simple comparison of a specific patch, created initially with Arp Odyssey (hardware).
I would not exchange the Odyssey for the app, but Korg did a great job on both!
