Kristian Webb is a Cardiac Physiologist specialising in pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
In 2013, Kristian (like all good healthcare professionals) was using Google to troubleshoot a problem patient when he stumbled across entirely inaccurate information that could harm a patient’s mental wellbeing.
He was so concerned that he started his own website offering accurate information in an attempt to redress the balance. His website gathered momentum, grew in size and on a £20 budget was outranking a multi-billion pound company for their own products on Google.
His digital approach has been rewarded with several remarkable professional accolades, awards and world firsts.
In this session, Kristian explains why everyone should have a website and explores the fragilities and hazards of the quite brilliant Dr Google.
