Today, 40 million patients are needed for over 300,000 clinical trials, worldwide. Clinical trials are the lifeblood of medicine, yet they are struggling for numbers. And without effective recruitment, the cost of producing the next generation of drugs soars.
This year, Havas Lynx Group's thought leadership campaign has been exploring how bringing the patient experience front and centre in clinical trials could revolutionise trial design, retention and recruitment – ultimately improving outcomes.
In early September, we held our final focus group in London to meet with patients and industry advocates to discuss their thoughts on the challenges and opportunities of being part of clinical research, as well as how we can involve patients more throughout the process to ensure a better experience and more successful outputs in clinical trial retention and recruitment.
