Heartfelt case study
Heartfelt Technologies developed a novel approach to monitoring patients for signs of cardiac failure, using a multi-camera, wall-mounted system that addresses the complicated problem of patient compliance by eliminating the need for patient interaction.
eg worked with Heartfelt to create an initial functioning prototype so that they could demonstrate and develop the concept of monitoring patients at home for signs of cardiac failure.
Heartfelt Technologies asked eg technology to design and manufacture a prototype of their wall mounted, infrared light projecting, 3D scanner, so that they can demonstrate and develop the concept. They needed their challenging design criteria to be met on a limited budget.

The design team worked closely with Heartfelt Technologies to ensure the product’s precise, multi-camera functionality was a success. This economical prototype has helped Heartfelt Technologies to create an easy to use, attractive demonstrator to show investors. It will also be an invaluable tool in the development of the product.
It was followed by a design iteration to generate a CE marked product within an ISO 13485 environment in less than six months from inception.
