BMG Video logo (late 1980s)
The first logo of BMG's home video division, BMG Video. BMG (Bertelsmann Music Group) was a German music label which was established in 1987 as a division of media company Bertelsmann. In 2004 the company merged it's 50% music catalog with Sony Music Entertainment and formed Sony BMG Music Entertainment. In 2008 Sony BMG renamed again to Sony Music Entertainment after Bertelsmann sold BMG to Sony. BMG Music Publishing was also sold to Universal Music Group in 2007, which folded into Universal Music Publishing Group.
