Anyway I’m writing this caption at 2:30am after the hours since 10:30pm making this video.
I read that sentence back and I’m pretty sure it makes no sense but I will keep it because you get the idea.
OK so original song time!!! I’ve been sitting on so many of these. There’s kind of a story to how this whole song came together. The first idea came from a very intense moment where I realized I have no idea what I’m doing and what I want to achieve in my life. Along with that, the feeling of looking at myself in general these days and not really seeing a person, but seeing a project or just something to be worked on. That can be good in some ways but there’s a point where a desire for self-improvement can cross into self-hatred territory. I need to start treating myself like a friend again!
So this song tries to capture those kinds of feelings. It actually started as a random collection of lines of lyrics, then two different half-songs. I combined the half-songs maybe a couple months ago in the 8 hour long Service Ontario line to get my passport renewed. It was there that this song was finally completed lol.
If my other captions were essays this is a novel!! Thank you for reading my slightly sleep-deprived overshare - and I know the sound quality and guitar and whatever is not great in this but I realized this gets the point across enough and it will never be perfect anyway!! So here is my 3rd original song on YouTube :)
