"King Dinosaur" is the latest EP from Shortstraw co-writer & keyboardist, Gad de Combes’ ongoing solo project, "Adventure Man".
“The songs from King Dinosaur form the skeleton of a kids TV show that I'm working on, which is based on my own childhood. While my previous albums tended to be filled with songs which were my interpretations of things that made me happy, these songs are my most personal to date, because i had to remember what I was like when I was 10. I was never a normal kid, and I always thought that was a bad thing. Only looking back at things now, did I realise how being weird made me see the world differently, something that has never stopped (for good or bad) and I feel these songs represent that realisation. Even a song like Boomer (my magnificent cat) is about me dealing with my emotions. I feel like while my songs were always honest, they were also written from someone else's point of view.
