Federal Period Shield Back Chairs
I took a class at my local Woodcraft last year with Ray Journigan (AKA "The Colonial Craftsman"). He walked us through all the joinery and carving techniques required to replicate this timeless design. I'm not necessarily a fan of "period" furniture, but I DO like the style from the Federal period. I learned a ton during this class and will use these techniques to further my woodworking/furniture making journey.
