Dad did a tandem jump!! This was a miracle! Dr. Woodruff has previously been on record saying he would never do a skydive jump. On a last minute whim, he almost did a tandem jump while I completed my 200th jump over Thanksgiving 2018, but some strong gusty wind came up and the plane was grounded. Today, however, while I was doing my first wingsuit class, he again decided to sign up for a tandem jump. Mom and Fergus the poodle watched from the ground as Dr. Woodruff defied all odds and JUMPED FROM A PLANE!! :) I still am in shock that this actually happened! This was the best day ever! Under canopy at about 2,500 ft, Dad's tandem jumper flew over and buzzed me, giving me some time to cheer on Dad after he had just completed his jump. So cool. :) In the video, the purple/pink parachute is Dr. Roger Woodruff and his tandem instructor. The video after the credits is from my wingsuit instructor, and the purple wingsuit that leaves the plane after Dad jumps out is me. The last view of Dad's parachute shows his tandem instructor flying really close to me under canopy in the distance. It was so cool to be able to see dad smiling under his parachute! :)
