How to make a beautiful laser-beam effect in Microsoft PowerPoint without using the Morph transition? You will need a picture for the beam to go over and the beam itself as a white line with a glow effect. Place the beam to the left of the picture.
Duplicate the slide and in the first slide decrease the saturation of the picture to 0%. The trick is then to copy the first slide (select the whole slide and copy) and use it to fill the background of the second slide. Afterwards delete the first slide. On the second slide apply the Wipe animation to the picture and the linear motion path to the beam (white line).
