GMS790 Quad Quantizer Plays Krell Music
A demonstration of two new modules, the GMS-790 Quad Quantizer and the GMS-710 Voltage Controlled Envelope Generator playing traditional Krell music. The envelope generator is controlled by two random voltage sources and produces a variable length envelope waveform that controls the level of the audio output of a simple synthesizer voice consisting of a voltage controlled oscillator and a multimode voltage controlled filter. An end of cycle output from the envelope generator is used to trigger the random voltage generators to produce new outputs for the next note and also triggers the quantizer to sample a random voltage to select the next note to play. A delay effect is used to add some stereo imaging and a hall reverb effect is applied to the result.
